Focus on Attorney Growth and Development
- The primary purpose of the meeting was to establish clear goals and KPIs for junior partners Gabby and Sophia. The team emphasized aligning measurable performance metrics with professional growth, compensation, and caseload management
- Gabby, a junior partner for over five years, has proven experience but is returning from maternity leave and needs clarity on expectations and future growth
- Sophia, a first-year associate, is developing her Spanish skills, and her goals will include both language development and foundational litigation skills
Clarifying Caseload and Case Assignments
A key topic was case distribution and workload balance.
- Andrew and Anthony will oversee which cases are assigned to Gabby and Sophia
- Gabby’s role will likely expand to include personal injury cases under mentorship and supervision
The firm wants to ensure caseload expectations are realistic and aligned with each attorney’s capacity and goals
Project Updates:
 Survey Results and Challenges
- Issues with phones - still ongoing to seek resolutions
- Workflows - need to systemize key processes (start with med-mal)
- Review intake and streamline
- Improve the systemization of calendaring systems
- Improvement of delegation and clarification of the responsibilities of the office manager, assistant, and paralegal (including issuing of checks from trust account/balancing account)
- The issue of Tammy being paid a salary versus hourly
- Improve notification of when records come inÂ
- Improve standardization and workflows on personal injury so that not different ways of doing things depending on the attorney you are working with (improve car collision standards)
- Review benefits for the team - and agreement on benefits for the team -re-enrollment in October/November - AndrewÂ
- Review and make suggestions for job descriptions for attorneys

- Review the finalized growth path and goal lists for Gabby and Sophia when received from Lexlee.
- Meet with Gabby and Sophia to discuss and confirm their 2026 goals and focus areas after receiving the finalized lists.

- Clean up and define the growth path phases up through Junior Partner for PI/comp litigation lawyers, then send to Andrew and Anthony for review and further tweaking.
- Finalize the 2026 goal lists for Gabby and Sophia, including specific targets and growth steps, and send them for review and goal selection.
- Schedule with Andrew/Anthony: Schedule and conduct a 2026 strategy meeting, including Gabby in relevant portions (workflows, process improvement, supervision), and coordinate with Lexlee for preparation.
- Review the 2025 strategy and determine which meetings Gabby should be included in for the 2026 strategy and operational discussions.
- Extend consulting engagement into January/February as needed to complete all contracted strategy and growth path work, coordinating with Andrew/Anthony for scheduling.
