  • Paralegal Onboarding Starts This Week: Meredith and Hannah begin; onboarding includes materials, reviews, and weekly/end-of-day check-ins.
  • Julie’s Support Needed: Nicole to reach out to Julie for help with client issues and a longstanding account problem.
  • Workload is Heavy: Nicole feels stretched; Lexlee offers support and acknowledges her efforts.
  • New Hires in Motion: Search for another paralegal continues.
  • Contested Cases Paused: Nicole will not take on new contested files; Lexlee supports this decision.
  • Case Intake is Steady: New cases are flowing in; tracking their source remains important.
  • Communication is Key: Weekly check-ins and onboarding systems keep transitions smooth; Nicole is encouraged to continue using them and ask for support as needed.

  • Consults & Staffing: August slowed due to staff shortages; contested cases were postponed until October.
  • Emily: Improving in estate planning consults; confidence still developing, needs more probate/guardianship training.
  • Kelsey: New paralegal performing exceptionally well—accurate, proactive, and reliable.
  • Savannah: Missed August billable goal, time entry issues; performance concerns to be addressed in reviews.
  • New Paralegals: Two onboarding; must avoid overload and prevent negative habit adoption.
  • Goal reviews (Kelsey, Abby, new paralegals): Oct 2, 2 PM
  • Savannah performance review: Sept 24, 1 PM

For You/Your Team:

  • Nicole to reach out to Julie to request her help with the long-standing account issue that Conan couldn’t balance.
  • Nicole will follow up with Conan to gather any additional insights on the problematic accounts.
  • Nicole will continue the daily onboarding check-in questions with the new team members and let Lexlee know if any issues arise.

Mind Over Law Team:

  • Get dates in January and February for 1 1-day workshop
  • Performance reviews for Nicole’s team members are set for October  2nd. Maddie –everyone else will be a goal review, so we need to create goals before then with Nicole
  • Set the performance reviews with Julie for Stacey and Nicole
  • Performance review for Savannah is set for September
